چکیده

A search for J/ψ radiative decay to weakly interacting neutral final states was performed using the CLEO-c detector at CESR. J/ψ events were selected by observing the hadronic decay ψ(2S) → π+π−J/ψ. A total of 3.7 × 106 J/ψ events was used to study the decay J/ψ → γ + X, where X is a narrow state that is invisible to the detector. No significant signal was observed and upper limits on the branching fraction were set for masses mX up to 960 MeV/c2. The upper limit corresponding to mX = 0 is 4.3 × 10−6 at the 90% confidence level.

We estimate the most important corrections to the branching ratios for the invisible decays of quarkonium states, arising from possible extensions of the Standard Model. Among the possibilities considered are the presence of extra Z-bosons, minimal supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model with R-parity violation and decays into Goldstinos. Prospects of detecting these corrections at exis...

A large final - state interaction in the 0 − 0 − decays of J / ψ

In view of important implications in the B decay, the 00 decay modes of J/ψ are analyzed with broken flavor SU(3) symmetry in search for longdistance final-state interactions. If we impose one mild theoretical constraint on the electromagnetic form factors, we find that a large phase difference of final-state interactions is strongly favored between the one-photon and the gluon decay amplitudes...

QCD calculation of J / ψ + γ mass distributions

We compute the J/ψ + γ invariant-mass distribution from the QCD subprocess g + g → J/ψ + γ. At large masses, this subprocess is the dominant mechanism for J/ψ + γ production, and data could provide a good test of QCD. The mass distribution peaks at relatively small masses (3.4–4.0 GeV) and the subprocess could, therefore, represent a significant QCD background to J/ψ+γ decay of heavier charmoni...

Glueballs: Charmonium Decay and p̄p Annihilation

The vector glueball O, made of 3 valence gluons, is expected to be “clean”: it mixes less with quarkonia, but mediates OZI violations. The recent 0 glueball candidate and the persistence of the J/ψ, ψ → ρπ puzzle suggest mO ≃ mJ/ψ, with mixing angle ∼ 2–4, hence Γ(O → ρπ, KK, ee) ∼ MeV, few keV, few eV. Lower and upper bounds on ΓO can be argued from ee → ρπ energy scan data and the condition B...

Final State Interaction Effects in B+→J/ψ π+ Decay

In this research the exclusive decay of                         is calculated by QCD factorization (QCDF) method and final state interaction (FSI). First, the  decay is calculated via QCDF method. The result that is found by using the QCDF method is less than the experimental result. So FSI is considered to solve the decay. For this decay, via the exchange of mesons are chosen for the intermedi...
